So is 4G the technological nirvana that will make wireless Internet a real challenger to landline access, or just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo poised to be an expensive flop? Engineers in Korea are showing off fairly impressive broadband speeds, but the cost of implementing these systems may result in unrealistic costs for consumers. And of course, there’s competition from WiMAX and dual-mode phones.
